Nike SB Air Force 1 “City Pack”: A Philly Connection
Nike SB’s Air Force 1 "City Pack" puts skate shops at the center of the story. The lineup connects Fly Streetwear in Shanghai, Ben-G in Amsterdam, Instant Skateboards in Tokyo and Nocturnal in Philadelphia, with each shop bringing its own perspective to the AF1.
The Cool Grey/Court Green colorway carries the Philadelphia connection through a palette inspired by Eagles football. This is the wider-release pair, which comes without Nocturnal’s heel branding.
Steel-grey suede covers the upper, with Court Green on the suede Swoosh, leather heel tab, tongue branding and outsole. A black midsole gives the grey and green some contrast, while green insoles and an extra set of green laces finish the package. It’s a clean combination that lets the materials and color blocking do the work.
The familiar shape also gets the SB treatment. Nike has reworked the Air Force 1 for skateboarding, adding a plush collar for padding around the ankle and a suede upper that brings more flexibility to the fit.
Four cities, four shops and a basketball original finding its place in skateboarding. The Philly pair keeps its local connection clear.
The Nike SB Air Force 1 “City Pack” in Cool Grey/Court Green drops Friday, October 23, at 11am. Come through to Overload in North Park, San Diego, or shop online RIGHT HERE.
