The Air Jordan 6 "Oreo" Returns For The AJ6's 35th Anniversary

One Of Jordan Brand's Most Requested Retros Is Finally Back

Some sneakers quietly build a cult following over time. The Air Jordan 6 "Oreo" did exactly that.

Originally released in 2010, the Oreo wasn't an original 1991 colourway, yet it quickly became one of the most beloved Air Jordan 6 releases outside the OG lineup. Clean, wearable, and instantly recognisable, it combined premium materials with subtle detailing that has kept collectors asking for a retro ever since.

Now, after years of speculation and countless requests, Jordan Brand is finally bringing it back as part of the 35th Anniversary celebration of the Air Jordan 6.

Designed by Tinker Hatfield, the Air Jordan 6 debuted in 1991 and became the shoe Michael Jordan wore while capturing his first NBA Championship. It introduced several performance innovations, including the reinforced heel spoiler inspired by sports cars, a translucent outsole, and a sculpted upper that balanced lightweight performance with unmistakable style.

The Oreo colourway keeps things simple. A premium white leather upper forms the foundation, contrasted by black overlays through the tongue and collar. The signature speckled detailing across the midsole gives the shoe its nickname, while icy translucent outsole panels complete one of the cleanest executions ever seen on the Air Jordan 6.

The return also follows last year's Reverse Oreo, which flipped the familiar colour blocking but left many collectors hoping the original would eventually make its way back. Jordan Brand has answered that call, delivering the colourway many have been waiting more than a decade to own again.

Whether you're a longtime Air Jordan collector or discovering the silhouette for the first time, the Air Jordan 6 "Oreo" remains one of the strongest lifestyle colourways ever applied to the AJ6.

The Air Jordan 6 "Oreo" releases tomorrow at Overload Skate Shop.
