- Product Description: I didn't start out as a dog person. My family always had cats, so by default I adopted the "I'm a cat person" persona. But then I acquired a dog much later in life when my life needed a dog most. He kept me moored to the world with a routine that I came to cherish each and every day until the devastating one on which he passed over the rainbow bridge... a day that absolutely destroyed me and continued to do so for many, many more—like so much more than I would have ever believed possible. It took seven months before my wife was finally able to persuade me into rescuing one from a nearby sanctuary, and I've been so grateful she did ever since. I know it will end in tears—it unfortunately always does—but at least I'll always have them immortalized in what has since become my most favorite (and treasured!) painting by Chris Reed (which is saying a whole hell of a lot because I love all of his work). —Cliver
