The Vans Skate Era takes the original skate shoe and reengineers it for modern performance while preserving the trusted silhouette that helped define skateboarding. First introduced 50 years ago by skate pioneers, the Era was Vans’ first shoe specifically designed for skateboarding. Today’s Skate Era combines a suede and canvas upper with performance-focused upgrades, including a padded collar, molded heel counter, internal tongue straps, and PopCush™ footbeds for impact protection. DuraCap™ reinforcement helps protect high-wear areas from griptape, while the SickStick™ rubber waffle outsole delivers reliable grip, board feel, and flexibility through its vulcanized construction.
